Senior Mechanical Engineering Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will join our existing team that is responsible for the mechanical implementation of the trainer. You will be responsible for scoping and designing improvements around our existing machine control. You will also be collaborating with your electrical and software engineering colleagues to add digital control, computer vision, and connected devices to launch our trainer into the digital age.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Concept generation and data-driven evaluation of design options for team
- Marshaling design while coordinating with other engineering functions to create prototypes
- Incorporating feedback from key suppliers, manufacturing and service support to inform design
- Rapid and repeated prototyping to evaluate critical performance and functionality characteristics
- Launch planning and production coordination with operations team
- Frequent reporting to VP of Engineering and executive team
- Coordination and collaboration with other functional departments (marketing, customer success, operations)
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree or relevant experience
- 5 years of experience with key duties and responsibilities as described above
- Proficiency in 3D solid modeling with motion of mechanisms (Solidworks preferred)
- Experience with design of sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding, finishing, painting, and assembly with extreme attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others as part of a cross-functional team
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Understanding and demonstration of human factor design in your work
- Experience in the following area would be a plus: plastic molding, welding, motors, actuators, and sensors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with experience-oriented design thinking
- Self-motivated, hands-on attitude and experience, driven to improve interactions in everything you touch
