What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker position at Vollwerth & Company?
The job includes making deliveries to local stores, restaurants and institiution's in a refrigerated van or truck on mondays and Thursdays. A chauffeurs license is required but will train. You will be responsible for loading your own tuck and checking in all orders with customers. Warehouse work will consist of sorting in-bound freight and keeping freezer in organized manor.
Vollwerth’s was started in 1915, with a humble beginning, in the basement of a Hancock home in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
We are seeking a self-motivated and attentive delivery driver to distribute our products throughout the Upper Peninsula and beyond . A Class B license is required as you will be operating straight truck over 26,000 GVW. The route may consist of at least one night per week on the road. You will be put up in a hotel at the companies expense.
The ideal candidate will be attentive to personal safety, attentive to details in regards to getting products to customers, in tune with body mechanics when lifting, twisting and bending, maintain professional relationships with customers, sales representatives and other staff, and adhere to all safety procedures with vehicle maintenance before beginning the work day. Must have the ability to pass a drug test.
