Base Pay: $15.50
Shift Length: 3-6 hour shifts (depending upon venue/sport assigned)
Reports To: Staffing Team (Product Director, Staffing Manager, & Staffing Coordinator)
Location: Field, Gyms, and Arena Venues in and around the Baltimore City area (Columbia, Catonsville, Dundalk, Towson/Parkville, Hampden/Roland Park, Mount Vernon, Fells Point)

Job Description:
When you accept a position with Volo, you’ll be joining a passionate, driven group of innovators within the social sports industry. Field Hosts serve as representatives for Volo and its subsidiaries at venues where leagues, pick-ups, events, and tournaments are hosted. We offer outdoor sports such as soccer, flag football, kickball, beach volleyball, bocce, pickleball, softball and then indoor sports such as basketball, pickleball, dodgeball, volleyball, soccer, cornhole, skeeball, and bar Olympics at a variety of venues in and around Baltimore City that you’ll host.. This is a part time position, however, there are opportunities for advancement within the company.

Field Host responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for running organized, fun, social, safe, and fair league, tournaments, and events at Volo owned and/or partnered locations
- Cultivate a fun, social, fair, and safe environment for members of the Volo community
- Encourage and maintain a high quality player experience throughout the league
- Be knowledgeable, and kindly and fairly enforce each sports rules
- Build relationships with players, referees, co-hosts, and potential venue staff
- Set up, clean, take down, and put away equipment (cones, balls, volleyball/pickleball nets, bases, tables, boards, med kit) and materials (marketing materials, funny money, cornhole bags, table throw etc)
- Abides to company policies in all areas - customer experience, dress code, attendance, time off, following procedures
- Use host app to check in players as needed
- Update league scores in our host app
- Provide on-site basic medical support and escalate if necessary
- Communicate with social host staff to provide updates
- Submit a shift log and 2 pieces of content each shift worked
- Submit incident reports as necessary for injuries, altercations, and the like
- Serve as a Volo representative on-site, communicating with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.
- Promote events and upcoming leagues via social media and on-site selling
- Help distribute marketing materials
- Execute fundraising activities to support kids programs
- Must be available at least 1 day per week on Monday through Friday from 5:30pm-11:00pm(or later) or Saturday through Sunday from 8:15am-11:00pm(or later) at least eight weeks at a time (season length)

- Interest in sports and social activities
- Social, outgoing personality
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Works well in a team atmosphere
- Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure
- Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
- Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly
- Working phone with data
- Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends
- Proficient customer service skills
- High School Diploma /GED Equivalency
