Job Description:
When you accept a position with Volo, you’ll be joining a passionate, driven group of innovators within the social sports industry. Hosts serve as representatives for Volo and its subsidiaries at facilities and bars and are the main point of contact for our players in leagues. This is a part time position, however, there are opportunities for advancement within the company. League Host responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Responsible for ensuring an organized and efficient shift at venue assigned maintaining a quality experience for players
• Interact with players and part time staff to build relationships and elevate player experience
• Cultivate a culture of building community through fostering a safe and fun environment for players and staff
• Knowledgeable in venue and sport specific rules and set-up
• Abide by Volo policies in all areas - dress code, attendance, time off, clocking in/out, availability, shift responsibilities
• Use host app to check in players as needed
• Update league scores in our host app
• Set-up & take down fields and /or bar set up for various competitive and indoor sport leagues, pickups, tournaments, and events
• Submit a game log and 2 pieces of content each shift worked
• Report incidents including but not limited to injuries, altercations, etc
• Share problems/solutions with office staff regarding equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc
• Serve as Volo representative on-site to de-escalate situations and resolve issues on-site
• Promote events and upcoming leagues via social media and on-field selling
• Help distribute marketing materials
• Execute fundraising activities to support kids programs
• Serve as a Volo representative at Venues assigned or visiting
• Must be available at least 1 days per week from 5:30pm-10:30pm(or later) for at least eight weeks

Must-Haves:

• Interest in sports and social activities
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to sell fundraise
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Works well in a team atmosphere
• Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure
• Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
• Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly
• Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends
• Proficient customer service skills
• High School Diploma /GED Equivalency
