Volt is hiring an Enclosure Mechanical Design Engineer in Wichita, KS with an industry leader who manufactures certified instruments, avionics and power solutions for the global aerospace industry.
In this role you be responsible for the mechanical design and development of new products, including research and integration of new and existing technologies.
As an Enclosure Mechanical Design Engineer, you will :
- Design Enclosures of electrical equipment
- Optimize mechanical design of new products based on competing demands of performance, size, weight, cost and time
- Apply mechanical experience and knowledge of parts such as extrusions, sheet metal, machining, molding, and electrical systems.
- Develop 3D, assembly and product designs in SolidWorks, including 2D drawings and documentation.
- Design to meet regulatory compliance and qualification testing of new products
- Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for new and existing design
This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
