What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator position at Volt Workforce Solutions?
Volt is immediately hiring Operators in Rockdale, IL. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of tools and machining, experience in a production environment, and physical abilities to stand for 10 hours, lift weights over 50 pounds, and climb stairs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow Job Safety Analyses, use safe work practices, and report hazardous conditions at all times.
- Manually or mechanically feed product to tapered, edge, and cant lines or ripsaws, maintaining an even flow of board to be cut with no gaps between boards.
- Perform other related duties as directed, including duties of other classification.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Assist in clearing line of upsets.
- Complete production paperwork accurately and completely.
- Keep equipment and area clean and orderly at all times.
