Quality Parts Inspector

Volt is immediately hiring for Quality Parts Inspectors for a top leading Machine Shop in Spring Valley Ca.

As a  Quality Parts Inspector  you will :

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, shop travelers, and ASME Y 14.5M standards dimensional tolerance symbols.
• Use a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) perform dimensional / visual First Article, in-process and final inspection on product
• Use PC DMIS Software to program, measure, and inspect parts.
• Be knowledgeable of AS 9100 requirements relevant to assigned tasks and know where to look for a Quality policy, Quality Systems Manual, procedures, specifications and work instructions.
• Perform testing (hardness, bearing proof testing, etc.) on product to specifications.
• Perform FAIs (First Article Inspection) by recording values per procedure, Receiving Inspection, understanding sampling inspection plans, verify test documents, and material certifications.
• Review shop travelers for completeness prior to shipment of product.
• Perform Periodic Inspections of Tool Store area and be able to perform internal audits after receiving internal auditor training.
• Document and complete NCR (Nonconformance Report) and change request forms.
• Perform any other tasks, instructions or assignments received from supervisors, instructors or management personnel.
