Volt is immediately hiring for 3rd shift Maintenance Mechanics in the City of Commerce, Ca
As a Maintenance Mechanic you will :
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Trouble shoot and repair production machinery, conveyors, bagging machines, wrappers
Timers, starters, relays, switches
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
May perform welding repairs if qualified and as necessary.
May repair electrical equipment if qualified.
May perform carpentry and painting maintenance of all locations.
Operates forklift, trucks, and electric pallet jacks.
Complies with all Company Safety Polices and Practices at all times.
Changes parameters on electronic equipment such as date coders and metal detectors.
This is a Full Time Temp-to-Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Must have intermediate or higher level mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills and experience.
May be required to have basic or intermediate level industrial electrical repair and maintenance skills and experience.
Should have experience with A / C and D / C electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, masonry, non-ammonia refrigeration systems, and material handling equipment
Knowledge of food safety is preferred
Pay Rate : $29.00-$35.00
Schedule : Monday to Friday 9pm-5am Daily OT & 6th day as needed
- Must train on 1st shift for a few weeks (1st shift : 4am-2pm)
- Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
