Job Title: FAB Process Engineer
Location: Richardson, TX
Shift Time: 1st Shift
Duration: 3 Months
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Support manufacturing to produce semiconductor DBR laser diodes.
- Performs lot and equipment depositions to support the continuous flow of production and to minimize the cycle time in the wafer FAB.
- Develop and implement improved methods of manufacturing, procedures, and processes that result in improved efficiencies, yields, machine operations, and quality.
- Support ramp up of new equipment with the installation, acceptance, qualification, and release to manufacturing with an aggressive timeline to meet or exceed the new product development goal.
- Develop new processes to improve yield and performance for the existing and new devices.
- Generate and maintain all FAB documentation.
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing FAB is preferred.
- Previous experience with photolithography, RIE, PECVD, E-beam metal deposition, and wet etch processes with regards to process setup, characterization, and process development.
- Knowledge of metrology tools such as J.A. Woollam M-2000 Ellipsometer, Hitachi S-4700 SEM, and Dektak XT Profilometer is a plus.
- Ability to quickly gather and analyze data to resolve issues.
- Attention to details, ability to handle wafer pieces with tweezers, and mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Able to work in a cleanroom environment for extensive periods wearing cleanroom smock, glove, and cap.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3 years job related experience working in semiconductor manufacturing FAB.
