Volt is immediately hiring for a General Laborer / Material Handler in Fort Bliss, Texas.
Position Type : Full-time (Contract)
Duration : 12 months
Seeking successful candidates to perform a wide variety of tasks relating to the incoming and outgoing of materials, merchandise, or equipment.
- Duties include receiving, packaging / shipping and inventory / material control.
- Performs manual and / or clerical duties that may utilize computers involved in receipt or preparation of materials for shipment.
- May operate vehicles / forklifts to transport material or merchandise.
- May be responsible for government and company property tracking and control. Replies to inquiries. Draws attention to important items and actual or potential problems and assists in developing solutions.
- Checks for work correctness. Process and route according to local work instructions, as applicable. Reporting discrepancies and security incidents to manager for resolution.
- Bringing items to record in PRISM and ALCS. Shelving all items. Updating shelf locations in PRISM and ALCS.
- Submitting documentation through APEX for DCMA.
- Interpret and follow special packing instructions and other packing requirements. Will represent the Central Region Logistics organization and must know when to elevate concerns.
Education Level Required :
HS Graduate or Equivalent
Years of Experience Required : 0 5 yrs
Pay Rate : $17 - $19 per hour.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
