We are seeking a skilled Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a chemical manufacturing environment In Hayward, CA.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing our equipment.

This role requires a versatile individual with a broad range of skills in industrial maintenance.

Our location is conveniently situated just 6 minutes away from Southland Mall.

Key Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment.
• Fix and rebuild pumps (Diaphragm).
• Perform electrical work as needed.
• Maintain and repair DI water systems and wastewater systems.
• Conduct plumbing tasks.
• Perform welding tasks (a plus).
• Maintain and repair compressors and / or boilers.
• Follow directions from and assist the Maintenance Supervisor on maintenance projects.
• Communicate clearly with the Maintenance Supervisor and Management regarding any issues, concerns, or updates related to maintenance projects.
• Repair equipment according to work orders and perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the establishment in repair.
• Tasks may include pipe fitting, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment, and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
• Responsible for maintaining all facility equipment and the maintenance area.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems (65% of the time).
• Perform production line changeovers (15% of the time).
• Read blueprints and fabricate (design, cut, weld, thread pipe, etc.) (5% of the time).
• Maintain maintenance work areas for a safe and clean work environment in compliance with OSHA and 5S standards (5% of the time).
• Operate a forklift (5% of the time).
• Follow all safety procedures and complete all required checklists for Lock Out / Block Out, Hot Work Permits, Confined Space Entries, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
