Volt Workforce Solutions is immediately hiring for an experienced Office Manager / HR Specialist for the Oceanside, Ca. area.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Office Manager / HR Specialist . This is a hybrid role combining office management responsibilities with HR functions, including Employee Relations (ER), Benefits Administration, and Leave of Absence (LOA) management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and administrative support, with the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

As an Office Manager / HR Specialist :

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and organization.
  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
  • Manage office space, coordinate meeting room bookings, and ensure the workspace is welcoming and functional.
  • Assist with scheduling, event planning, and general office communication.
  • Support senior leadership with administrative tasks such as travel arrangements, meetings, and presentations.
  • Employee Relations (ER) : Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns and foster a positive work environment through proactive problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Benefits Administration : Manage employee benefits enrollment, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and wellness programs. Act as a liaison between employees and providers to address benefit-related inquiries and claims.
  • Leave of Absence (LOA) : Handle the administration of employee leave requests, including FMLA, short-term disability, and other leaves of absence. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and track employee leave status.
  • Onboarding / Offboarding : Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed. Manage offboarding for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews and finalizing paperwork.
  • Compliance & Record Keeping : Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records in compliance with federal, state, and company policies. Assist with audits and ensure documentation is properly filed.
  • Employee Engagement : Support employee engagement initiatives by planning company events, recognition programs, and helping to maintain a positive workplace culture.

This is a full time opportunity

The ideal candidate will have :

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in office management and HR .
  • Strong understanding of Employee Relations , Benefits Administration , and Leave of Absence management.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, BambooHR) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of relevant HR laws and compliance regulations (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus but not required.
  • Pay Rate : $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
