Volt is immediately hiring a Pilot Plant Technician in Austin, TX, with a well-known industry leader. As a Pilot Plant Technician you will : Assemble new types of fiber optic connectors using detailed work proceduresTest the optical performance of new types of optical fiber connectorsWork with other technicians and optical engineers to efficiently make and test connector samples for experimental investigations.Estimated Duration up to 24 months. The ideal candidate will have : High School diploma / GEDOne (1) year of experience working in laboratory or pilot line settingAble to pay attention to detail and follow detailed written work procedures.Able to work with hands to assemble small parts.Able to work on site daily from 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm initially transitioning to 3pm to 11pm as demand increasesAble to utilize Microsoft Excel for data input, formatting & analysisPay Rate : $25.95 per hour
