What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at Volt?
Volt is currently hiring a Machine Operator in Northfield, MN.
As a Machine Operator, you will:
- Review production schedules, process procedures and specifications regarding the sequential start-up, operation and control of automated equipment and peripheral hardware.
- Monitor the operation of the automated equipment and peripheral hardware.
- Inspect quality levels of production on the automated equipment and peripheral hardware.
- Record data required for statistical process control or inventory management.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the automated equipment and peripheral hardware at specified intervals and schedules.
- Perform sequential shutdown, including the cleaning of the automated equipment or peripheral hardware.
Shifts available are:
- 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM)
- 3rd Shift (Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Excellent attendance record
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret instructions
- Prior experience with forklift/pallet jack and other motorized equipment is preferred
- Machine operator experience, particularly with slitters and mixers, is desirable
- Prior use of food mixing machines is a plus
This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity with a duration of 12 months and a pay rate of $19.70-$20.70 per hour.
