Volt is immediately hiring for a QA Regulatory Specialist in Pomona, California. $30.00 per hour As a QA Regulatory Specialist you will : Develop ingredient & finished product specifications, including ingredient statements and nutritional information.Revise / proof read existing labels to be up to par with standards. Maintain ingredient files and compliance documents up to date. Tracks regulatory documentsSupports completion and filing of documentation like GMP, Allergen, Organic, & Kosher documentation. Maintain Supplier approval ProgramSupports QA and Sales projects when neededParticipate and support Third Party AuditsEnsure compliance with Federal, State, and Local OSHA regulationsEnsure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense & Food Quality regulations Compliance to job safety requirementsPerforms other duties as needed. This is a Full time opportunity. 8am to 4 : 30pm. The ideal candidate will have : Bachelors degree in food science, related field, or equivalent relevant experience and education.2 years experience working in Food manufacturing environment.Knowledge in FDA, USDA, AIB, HACCP, GMP and Allergen Programs. Knowledge in Labeling regulationsFamiliar with FDA, COOL, Prop 65, Nutritional warnings, and Health ClaimsExperience of NLEA labeling guidelines & develpment of nutritional data using ESHA Genesis ProgramsProficient in MS OFFICEBilingual - Spanish (preferred)Open to work weekends, holidays, OT if neededExcellent verbal & written English communication skills to compose reports. Pay rate : $30.00 per hour
