Volt is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in La Verne, CA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing inspections of company products to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Processing associated documentation, including process tags, rework and non-conforming documents.
- Inspecting procedures throughout the production cycle to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborating with machine operators and engineers on the shop floor to ensure accurate parts production and adherence to procedures.
This is a full-time opportunity with a regular schedule from Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints for precision machined parts and understand specs and symbols.
- A trained eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
- High organizational skills, reporting capabilities, effective communication, and ability to interact with internal and external customers.
- Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role in a machine shop manufacturer.
- Familiarity with various inspection hand gauging tools, including micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, vernier calipers, height gauges, and more.
- Ability to learn company software and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Knowledge of office equipment and current ISO & AS specs & standards.
- Ability to work independently, with a partner, or as part of a team.
