What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping receiving position at Volt?
Volt is immediately hiring for a Forklift Certified Shipping / Receiving Worker in Tualatin, OR.
As a Forklift Certified Shipping / Receiving Worker you will :
- Stock received goods in the warehouse
- Replenish Lean Assembly Line KanBan Bins and Carts
- Recycle AccuSine manufacturing, warehouse and receiving / shipping
- Cycle Counts
- Scrap of obsolete material
- Maintain part, pallet and beam labeling
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in a 5S environment
- Perform picking, product verification, packaging, and shipping of domestic and international shipments
- Utilize contracted shipping lanes or request spot quotes when required
- Enter tracking information into the system and trace shipments as necessary
- Coordinate with Freight Forwarders and common carriers to schedule pickups and follow up as needed
- Collaborate effectively with the shipping team, manufacturing, quality, management, and sales departments
This is a full time contingent opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Valid certification / licensing as a forklift operator
- Prior experience in a shipping or warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining safety protocols
- Flexibility to handle additional tasks within the shipping team
Pay Rate : $24.00 per hour
