Volt is immediately hiring for a Test Technician- MCKINNEY, Texas 75071Position Type : Full-time (Contract) Duration : 12 months Job Description This role will support acceptance testing functions on production AND development / prototype products within the Advanced Product Center (APC) at the McKinney, TX site. What You Will Do :
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome technical challenges.
- Fault-isolate problems and assisting in the resolution of issues between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the devices under test.
- Experience in observing, analyzing, and reporting test data.
- Select and set up appropriate test equipment based on test specifications.
- Interpretation of test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters, etc.) to choose pass / fail condition and resolve when further analysis is needed.
- Basic use of hand tools, torque tools and analyzers, and power tools Qualifications You Must Have :
- Candidate must have the ability to obtain clearance on a proprietary program
- Experience working in a classified or proprietary program environment is preferred
- Typically requires an AA / AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience
- Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools.
- Experience with Microsoft excel, MATLAB, programming, drive share mapping, and basic computer programs.
- Experience in performing product tests by utilizing procedures, manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and other related documentation under limited supervision. Pay Rate : $25 - $28 per hour.
