What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Fabrication Specialist position at Volt?
Volt is immediately hiring Welding Fabrication Specialist in Costa Mesa, California.
As a Welding Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for :
- Operates Heliarc, ARC, and MIG welding machines in accordance with Fab Shop procedures and plant specifications.
- Follows blueprints, production drawings, production procedures, and instructions.
- Confers with various departmental representatives to verify engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Performs hand burning and gas welding.
- Repairs welds and structural welds.
- Cleans shop and maintains work areas and equipment.
- Operates drill press, occasionally, with instruction from supervisor.
- Sets up, operates, and adjusts related production equipment as needed, including hand brake, sheet metal shears, grinder, lathe, saw cutter, and hand tools.
- Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position.
- Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.

Duration : 12 Months
Location : Costa Mesa, California
Pay Rate : $26.0 - $28.0 per hour on W2.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
