Volta Music Foundation’s mission is to provide students in underserved communities the opportunity to advance their musical careers through a variety of educational programs and talent development opportunities.

Volta Music Foundation After-School Program aims to engage Elementary schools’ students in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade Counties through in-person, high-caliber music learning opportunities. All students will participate in weekly group instrumental music classes and receive musical instruments and materials at no cost to them. Students will also be given opportunities to access several performances throughout the year and participate in student recitals and concerts.

The student demographic Volta target are students from low-income families and at-risk youth; most students are from Title I schools where the performing arts have been defunded, thus having little to no resources to bring quality and specialized instruction to their students. Students attending Volta from these schools are from low-income families, and all programs have a high percentage (71.75% on average) of students enrolled from minority groups.

Volta Teachers’ primary responsibility will be to teach group lessons on violin and music theory. Curriculum will be provided. The teachers will be directly involved in developing, implementing, and carrying out the Volta curriculum and defined teaching objectives at the guidance of the Volta After school Program Team.

The Teachers would be working with students K to grade 5 in a group of 10 to 12 students.
