What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineering Intern/Co-Op position at Voltair Consulting Engineers?
Position Overview
The Electrical Engineering Intern/Co-Op will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced staff members to apply concepts learned in the classroom to assigned tasks in a real-world design environment. The Electrical Engineering Intern/Co-Op will also assist with administrative and production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and based in Tampa, Florida
- Currently enrolled in an electrical engineering program at an accredited university
- Desire to pursue a career in electrical engineering design consulting
- Familiarity with Revit and other engineering software programs preferred

- Travel as needed for site investigations and assessments, or client meetings
- Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods
- Regular use of office equipment such as a computer/laptop and computer screens

- Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
- May occasionally be exposed to the following work conditions: work near/with moving mechanical parts; work near/with electrical currents; work in high places or underground; be exposed to fumes/airborne particles or caustic chemicals; withstand outdoor weather conditions; withstand moderate to very loud noises
