Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and acute care environments. The LPN will play a vital role in supporting patients with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, while adhering to established medical standards.
Duties
- Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' health status by taking vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide wound care and perform suturing as needed.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the nursing staff or physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing, long-term care, or working with people with disabilities is preferred.
- Proficiency in sonography techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of acute care standards and practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to perform physical examinations and document findings accurately.
