Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing and be committed to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a compassionate approach to nursing, with the ability to assess and respond to the complex needs of critically ill patients.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, utilizing advanced medical terminology and critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize knowledge of internal medicine and medical office procedures to enhance patient outcomes.
- Assist in the management of patients requiring specialized interventions such as neonatal ventilator support.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including Minimum Data Set (MDS) documentation as required.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Provide care for patients with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and dignity throughout their stay.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in critical care nursing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with MDS documentation processes is preferred.
- Experience working with neonatal ventilators is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
