What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Advisor position at Volume Cars?
Responsibilities
- Schedule service appointments
- Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required, entering RO into service database system.
- Provide the client with an accurate estimate of repair or maintenance cost, and/or a minimal diagnostic fee with explanation of associated cost, detailing problems and pertinent information, and secure client authorization of repair or service.
- Proactively solve customer issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Educate customers on maintenance, repairs, and services for vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records and report on maintenance procedures.
- Prepare bills and invoice for services performed.
- Manage service calls and ensure all drivers receive them in a timely manner.
- Manage customer complaints and provide solutions (pre/post-sale)
- Keep updated records of customer interactions and process customer information in our database.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Experience & Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in the logistics industry (transportation or logistics) or in a related field such as Service Department, Service Advisor, Service Manager, etc.
- Experience in a service center or similar environment is preferred. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of mechanics.
- Fluent English--Bilingual a plus
- Can work in a fast-paced environment, are organized, and can manage time efficiently.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
