As an Accounts Payable Clerk at Voluntary Purchasing Groups, Inc., you will play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy and efficiency within our organization. Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment.
- Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate payment processing.
- Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment inquiries or discrepancies.
- Support the implementation of process improvements for accounts payable operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly debits and credits.
- Familiarity with accounting software.
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively and efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
- Experience with payroll systems is a plus.
- Basic understanding of tax regulations related to accounts payable is beneficial.
