What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classroom Coordinator position at Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System?
Volunteer Behavioral Health is now seeking a part-time Classroom Coordinator in the Smyrna, Tennessee area.
The Classroom Coordinator position is within the Regional Intervention Program (RIP). Regional Intervention Program (RIP) is a parent-implemented program for children up to age 6 and their families who are experiencing challenging behaviors.
The Classroom Coordinator Position is a 16 hour/week part time position.

You would be responsible for training the parents in the program how to effectively run the classroom, along with preparing the classrooms and lesson plans for each RIP night.
Program currently runs Monday and Wednesday from 11:30 am until 8 pm. These are required hours each week.
What You’ll Bring:
- High School Diploma/GED required. Must be eighteen (18) years old.
- Knowledge and experience in working with young behavior disordered children and their families is preferred.
- Previous training in the RIP model is preferred.
What You’ll Do:
- Facilitate learning with RIP Parent Classroom Training manual.
- Give feedback on Classroom Training assignments.
- Model appropriate RIP techniques in the classroom to newly trained parents
- Conduct monthly classroom meeting with classroom trained parents.
- Prepare program sheets for each child participant.
- Mark logs as appropriate
- Maintain classroom and supplies for classes.
- Data collection of feedback and remediation training
- Support parents in learning and modeling appropriate behavior.
