Family Support Specialist JJR Program

Immediate full time position open for a Family Support Specialist with the Juvenile Justice Reform Program for our Northern region.

We are looking for candidates to fill a vacancy for a Family Support Specialist on our team. Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Candidate must have personal experience as a caregiver for youth with mental or behavioral health concerns.

Our team is the Juvenile Justice Reform Program (JJR) with Volunteer Behavioral Healthcare Systems. We work with youth who are at risk or have involvement with the youth justice system and their families with the goal of keeping our young people from future involvement with the criminal justice system and keeping our families together. JJR’s service area is 22 counties, but this position serves families within the northern 11 counties in our region: Macon, Clay, Pickett, Smith, Jackson, Overton, Fentress, Smith, Putnam, DeKalb, White, and Cumberland.

The Family Support Specialist works as part of the larger JJR team and meets with families within our service region. They will pursue and obtain the Family Support Specialist certification and use the training to assist youth and caregivers alongside other JJR staff. Family Support Specialists also assist the team by attending client meetings alongside coworkers for safety.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $38,000.00 per year
