The Power of Work event is Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota’s annual signature fundraising event to celebrate the extraordinary accomplishments of our participants, programs, and achievements in the community. Volunteer Details & Requirements
- Complete this form to apply by Thursday, May 1. The philanthropy team will contact you regarding your application and volunteer shift. Contact Crystal Meisinger (cmeisinger@gesmn.org) with questions.
- All volunteers will:
- Serve as ambassadors for GESMN by supporting the mission and fundraising messages.
- Remain at their assigned area for the duration of their shift
- Wear business or cocktail attire for the event.
Volunteer Roles & Shifts
1:00pm-3:00pm
- Event Set Up: Includes set-up of wine pull table, registration tables and placing printed collateral on dining tables, silent auction set-up.
5:00-7:00pm
- Guest Registration: Welcome guests, hand out nametags & programs, and point them to reception activities.
- Event Greeters: Welcome guests and point them to registration, coat racks, bathrooms, lead them to guest experiences such as the silent auction, and assist with moving guests into the main room for dinner.
- Photo Silent Auction Assistants: Encourage and assist guests in taking photos in front of the photo backdrop.
- Parking Lot Attendants (outdoor) – assist in helping attendees in the parking lot, providing information about accessing the event
7:00-9:00pm
- Live Auction Guest Check out: Assist the auctioneer by spotting bidders and guests with entering donations. Assist with guest check out and event tear down.
