NEER North is looking for responsible, dependable volunteers to provide morning or evening care at our rescue facility in West Newbury, MA. In this role you will be caring for up to 25 beautiful horses, minis and donkeys looking for their forever homes. This is a wonderful opportunity to get outside, make a difference with an animal in need, and support an organization that receives no state or federal funding. Our morning shift hours are 8 30-11, evening hours are 3 30-5 00. All volunteers are paired with at least one other person per shift. (Please note this position does not include riding the horses).

Responsibilities
- Provide food and water for all animals in care
- Clean stalls and/or pick paddocks
- Fill hay bags
- Keep barn clean and tidy for visitors
- Volunteers are asked to commit to two shifts per week
- Horse experience preferred, but not required - we will provide all training necessary for this role
- Comfortable performing physical activity in an outdoor setting/inclement weather
- Detail oriented, able to follow directions carefully
