What are the responsibilities and job description for the Thrift Retail Store Associate position at Volunteers in Medicine?
VIM Thrift operates two busy and quirky stores. Our flagship store is at 7 N. Wildwood Blvd, CMCH. Our newest store is at 2087 Route 9 S, Seaville,in in the Cedar ACME plaza. We need a few hard-working individuals.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct customers
- Process donations to ensure racks are fully stocked
- Merchandise and display donations to maximize sales
- Operate cash register with accuracy.
- Assist with loading/unloading donations safely and effectively.
- Support Agency safety and security programs.
- Ensures that all sales are accurately processed and receipts properly deposited
- Process, sort and price donations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Familiarity with fashion, trends and brand names
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
- Basic math skills
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- High school degree
