VOLUNTEERS IN SERVICE TO THE ELDERLY
Position: Client Services Coordinator
Status: Full time; non-exempt
Reports To: Client Service Manager
Direct Reports: none
About VISTE:
The mission of VISTE is to enable frail elderly persons to live independently and safely in their own home.
Position Summary:
The Client Services Coordinator is responsible for serving as the liaison between clients, potential clients, other VISTE departments, and outside agencies in order to serve their needs in the most effective and efficient means possible.
Position Eligibility:
Education and Experience
1. Ability to communicate effectively.
2. Strong organizational skills.
3. A working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
4. Willingness to work on tasks as assigned.
5. Willingness to work beyond standard hours, as needed.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality related to client and donor information.
7. Capacity to work independently and willingness to help outside scope of work when necessary.
8. Valid Florida Driver’s License and auto insurance.
9. Bilingual, English/Spanish, preferred
10. High school diploma or GED, and minimum 1 year of customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience to provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for success.
Position Duties:
In order to support VISTE in the mission of enabling frail elderly persons to live independently and safely in their own homes, the Client Services Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
1. :
· Develop a complete understanding of the programs and services offered by VISTE.
· Conduct interviews and evaluate potential clients.
· Compose clear, direct, concise, and complete client intakes and requests for services.
2. :
· Clearly communicate VISTE’s mission to potential clients and stakeholders.
· Communicate with clients and potential clients in a clear, patient, and respectful way.
· Clearly communicate procedures and standards of VISTE’s intake process and client requests.
· Keep Client Service Manager informed about progress and problems.
3. :
· Listen and respond appropriately to other team member’s ideas.
· Give honest and constructive feedback and show willingness to receive feedback from supervisors and peers.
· Assist team members when needed.
4. :
· Show up to work on time, dress appropriately, and follow instructions, policies, and procedures.
· Stay focused on tasks and be able to multi-task.
· Make best use of available time and resources.
· Demonstrate personal responsibility for quality and timelessness of work; achieve results with minimal oversight.
Position Standards:
Success in this position is demonstrated when the following are consistently accomplished:
1. Information regarding clients and services is maintained accurately and regularly in client files and computer database.
2. Potential clients understand the scope of services VISTE can provide that best suit their needs.
3. The needs of clients are understood, and services and referrals are provided when appropriate.
4. Ensuring potential clients complete the intake process in a timely and courteous manner.
Position Tasks:
1. Conduct and coordinate client intake interviews in their home or over the phone.
2. Inform other VISTE staff and departments of services needed by clients.
3. Assure that all required client paperwork and forms are completed, updated, and accurate.
4. Remain in contact with clients as needed, and as client needs change.
5. When appropriate, refer clients to other community resources.
6. When appropriate, coordinate services with community resources and agencies.
7. Support and provide guidance for intake volunteers and oversee client documentation for completeness and accuracy.
8. Maintain client database accuracy.
9. Complete weekly administrative tasks related to data entry and file maintenance.
10. Review temporary services.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
