**The Program Manager oversees all food service staff, transportation staff, and volunteers at our Congregate Dining Site in Idaho Springs. Will work closely with VOA Colorado partner Project Support Senior Center to ensure compliance is met in accordance to VOA Colorado policy. Regularly works with Senior Manager of Congregate Dining and Transportation, Program Manager of Food Services, Warehouse Manager, and the Meals on Wheels Team. Administrative and clerical duties are required to ensure all areas of the program are in compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Recruits, supervises, trains, monitors, evaluates food service and transportation personnel; and administers personnel policies and procedures as specified by Volunteers of America Colorado Branch to include monitoring and approval of assigned staff payroll.
· Prepares, and monitors staff schedules, cleaning schedules, food safety and sanitation training schedules.
· Ensures that menus and recipes are followed. Food is portioned correctly for food service and delivery to program participants in the Nutrition and Volunteers of America programs.
· Establishes and manages an efficient and accurate food inventory to keep food waste minimized and food cost low. Collaborates with Senior Manager monthly to address any inventory issues
· Verifies new assessment forms and reassessment forms for Congregate Meals, Transportation, and Meals on Wheels are filled out correctly and sent to Volunteers of America Colorado Aging and Nutrition Services building.
· Oversees, schedules, and ensures home delivered meals are delivered.
· Organizes and schedules transportation for clients that need to go to medical appointments, grocery shopping, community field trips, and other basic needs.
· Complete and collect all weekly and monthly documentation and send to Volunteers of America Colorado Aging and Nutrition Services building. This includes dining logs, food temperature logs, transportation logs, volunteer hour logs, fuel/repair receipts and all related compliant paperwork.
· Establishes and maintains a positive and effective relationship with volunteers, clients, vendors, service technicians and the community.
· Monitors all equipment daily to ensure efficient operation and cleanliness and informs the Senior Manager of Congregate Dining and Transportation of any equipment and facility repairs as needed. It will be determined if partner Project Support Senior Center needs to be informed.
· Places food and supply orders weekly to the Program Manager of Food Services and Warehouse manager.
· Trains staff to be self-sufficient in Paylocity
· Increase the monthly congregate meal output by 15% within the first year
· Increase monthly client transportation by 25% within the first three months

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Travel to and from clients home in the high country
- May need to lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly during a daily shift.
- May require sitting for extended periods of time.

Salary: $56,486.00-$62,000.00 Annual Exempt

Minimum Qualifications of Position
· Associate’s degree in hospitality or equivalent experience
· Minimum three years supervisory experience in hospitality setting
· Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations on food handling and sanitation procedures.
· Own transportation with valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of insurance.
· Food Manager Safety Certification – Must be completed within 90 days if not already certified.

Preferred Qualifications of Position
· Knowledge of high-country travel and community dynamics
· Experience in supervising, recruiting, and evaluating employees preferred
· Comfortable working with a diverse employee base preferred.
· Two years direct experience in kitchen program supervision, monitoring, and reporting skills experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
· Excellent computer skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Publisher, Microsoft Word, and databased programs.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Detail oriented with excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
