Reporting directly to the Nursing Director, you’ll play an essential role in coordinating medical care for clients, conducting medication audits, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.

What You’ll Do
- Coordinate, monitor, and support medication administration and weekly audits
- Maintain up-to-date, confidential medical files and histories for all residents
- Review medical consults and physicals; flag concerns for the Nursing Director
- Act as liaison between agency staff and external pharmacy providers
- Refer clients for outside medical care as needed
- Assist in setting medication-related goals with treatment teams
- Support therapeutic environments through team collaboration
- Participate in staff and client trainings on medication safety and side effects
- Report medication errors and discrepancies promptly
- Maintain privacy compliance and contribute to HIPAA policy reviews
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential, or 3 years of experience with a mental health population
- Familiarity with social learning theory, cognitive-behavioral models, and client evaluation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to confidentiality
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to meet agency driving standards
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
- Bilingual fluency is a plus
- You’ll ensure that clients in behavioral health and reentry programs receive the medical oversight and medication monitoring they need to stay on track in their recovery and reintegration. Your attention to care and detail keeps both clients and systems safe.
