Job Description
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing security and safety of our facility. This includes accountability for the client population, supervision, and support in their daily routines and chore assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete hourly rounds of the facility to document conditions and ensure resident accountability.
- Verify and review the facility census at the beginning and end of each tour of duty, and relay information to funding sources as required.
- Monitor sign-in and sign-out procedures for all clients, and initiate emergency protocols when necessary.
- Conduct orientations for new clients, including reviews of rules and regulations, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
- Coordinate meal distribution and work with supervisors to resolve any issues.
- Secure client personal property upon termination from the program, and schedule medical appointments as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections, contraband searches, and random searches of clients and property.
- Ensure visitors sign in and out, and log phone calls and respond to inquiries accordingly.
- Participate in monthly fire drills, conduct regular safety checks, and generate work orders for facility repairs.
- Document all incidents and submit relevant forms to supervisors.
- Fulfill training obligations and maintain confidentiality in accordance with operational policies.
Essential Functions:
- Regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach, climb stairs, talk, hear, and smell.
- Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
- Ability to identify colors and observe areas while remaining fixed on a given point.
- Occasional exposure to chemicals, wet or humid conditions, and outdoor weather.
