We seek a compassionate, dedicated Behavioral Health Clinician to help us break the cycle of homelessness by providing support, counseling, and skill-building to individuals in need.

If you are passionate about working with diverse populations and supporting individuals facing mental health challenges, homelessness, and trauma, this is your role. Help empower participants to build healthier, independent lives through trauma-informed care, evidence-based practices, and collaborative care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with participants, providing individual, family, and group counseling services.
  • Conducted comprehensive assessments and developed individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based care using trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and person-centered practices.
  • Offer care coordination, resource linkage, and support to promote mental health and resilience.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups to build skills and foster social engagement.
  • Collaborate with community partners, VOA teams, and service providers to ensure holistic support.
  • Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development opportunities.

  • Requirements

    What We're Looking For :

  • Education : Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience : Prior experience working with vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health conditions, or substance use disorders.
  • Licensure / Certifications : Eligible to become licensed as an Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC), CPR / First Aid / BBP certified within 6 months, and a valid Washington State Driver's License.
  • Preferred : Certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) or trainee status, Mental Health Professional (MHP) status with Washington State.

  • Application Requirements :

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Ability to pass background checks, including DCYF, Medicaid Exclusion List, and driving record review.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to maintain auto liability insurance.
