Description
Our Doula Case Manager provides a holistic and individualized approach to meet the unique needs of young mothers during and after their pregnancy. This role includes providing prenatal and postpartum care, advocating for clients' medical needs, attending medical appointments, organizing educational classes, and offering emotional support during labor and delivery. Our Doula Case Manager also assists in connecting clients to health resources, and tracks health-related information such as immunizations.
Additionally:
- You will transport clients if needed, in personal vehicle
- Core hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to be on-call for clients needing pregnancy related support
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age in keeping with program requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in social science, health care, or related field
OR Equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. associate's degree in a social science, health care or related field AND 2 years of relevant experience working with high-risk youth & pregnant/parenting teens
OR At least 4 years of relevant experience with experience working with high-risk youth & pregnant/parenting teens
Preferred Experience: Trained as a professional Doula. Have completed at minimum a birth doula training course and childbirth education course
Licensing/Certifications:
- Eligible for Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) license
- CPR/First Aid certified within one week of employment
- TB test (or negative results) required
- Valid Driver’s License and Insurance
- Food Handler’s Permit
Clearances: Background check by Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF)
Salary : $24 - $25
