Now Hiring: Overnight Shelter Staff at Crosswalk (Multiple Positions Available)

Shift: Overnight (includes weekends and holidays)
Location: Crosswalk Youth Shelter
Who We’re Looking For: Caring, dependable, and open-hearted individuals ready to make a real difference.
At Crosswalk, we provide more than just a place to sleep — we offer safety, dignity, and hope to youth ages 13–17 who are navigating some of life’s toughest challenges. Whether they’re facing homelessness, trauma, or simply trying to find stability, we meet them where they are — with compassion, respect, and zero judgment.
What You'll Do:
- Be a trusted, steady presence during the overnight hours.
- Create a welcoming space where every youth feels valued.
- Support young people with essentials like meals, hygiene supplies, and a safe environment.
- Provide a listening ear and a calm response in crises.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and supportive shelter.
Requirements
What You Bring (Required):
- High School Diploma or GED/HSEC
- One (1) year of experience working directly with children, or two (2) years of related education
- A belief that everyone is worthy of care and respect, no matter what they’re going through.
- The ability to stay calm, collected, and communicative overnight.
- A heart for working with youth from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Willingness to obtain certifications (CPR/First Aid, Food Handler’s Permit, TB test, etc.) — we’ll guide you through it.
- Must be eligible to apply for an Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within 30 days of hire.
