SUMMARY
A Key Holder is responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring a smooth operation in the absence of the store manager, and providing excellent customer service. This role supports the management team and ensures that daily operational, sales, and customer service goals are achieved.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Store Opening/Closing:
- Responsible for opening and closing the store according to company policies.
- Ensuring proper security procedures are followed, including the setting and disabling of alarms.
Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting customers with inquiries, product selections, and returns.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward customers.
Sales Support:
- Achieve or exceed sales goals through exceptional service, product knowledge, and team collaboration.
- Assist in store promotions, events, and product launches.
Store Maintenance:
- Maintain the visual standards of the store, ensuring it is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Conduct stock replenishment and merchandising as needed.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and support the team in the absence of the store or assistant manager.
- Train new employees on store policies, procedures, and best practices.
Cash Management:
- Perform cash handling duties, including opening and closing registers, balancing cash drawers, and ensuring the accuracy of transactions.
Loss Prevention:
- Adhere to loss prevention policies and help minimize theft or fraud within the store.
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the store manager.
Other Duties
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and processing shipments.
- Collaborate with management to address any operational issues that arise during shifts.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years combined retail and supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail.
- Capable of lifting and moving stock up to 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of retail and/or store management, including personnel, cash, operation of cash registers and basic security
- Computer literacy preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours
