About the job:
The Specialty Care Scheduler will provide efficient scheduling and other administrative services for the provisions of personal care services in the Adult Day Health Center and in participant homes, resulting in the delivery of excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. - Minimum two (2) years administrative experience
- A minimum of one-year (1) experience in working with the frail or elderly population.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, E-mail and the Internet.
- High degree of professionalism; ability to deal with extremely confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One-year staffing/scheduling and/or Human Resources experience preferred.
Essentials:
- Oversee the scheduling of caregivers to ensure PACE participants are receiving personal care services as identified in their plan of care.
- Develop, maintain and update the Personal Care Services schedule.
- Assist Home Care Coordinator in meeting the staffing budget goals by acting as a communications liaison, reconciling agency staff bills against schedules, and by tracking agency hour usage.
- Maintain files record keeping; track attendance occurrences in accordance with the attendance policy and write up corrective actions as needed for Personal Care Services Staff and turn them in to the Home Care Coordinator.
- Competent in VOANS SCC Emergency Medical Procedures.
- Develop and maintain a good rapport with Personal Care Services Staff to ensure their willingness to be flexible and to pick up hours when needed.
- Provide clerical support and assisting in various projects for Personal Care Services.
- Maintaining medical records including tracking, filing and data entry.
- Perform routine sites visits as needed.
