JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and write various communication materials, including press releases, articles, social media posts, website content, newsletters, and presentations.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, respond to inquiries, and send appropriate information as needed.
- Serve as the Ambassador Manager.
- Secure speakers and storytellers for private tour experiences and other events.
- Schedule, coordinate, and serve as a key presenter for public introductory events, ensuring all involved participants are well-prepared.
- Coordinate stories for and oversee the Cherish the Children of God annual video filming.
- Responsible for the agency’s comprehensive external media plan, including the purchase and placement of billboards, TV, radio, and digital buys.
- Oversee the agency website, updating content and pages as needed.
- Work with the Community Development Manager to assist with Visionaries, the agency’s young adult volunteer group.
- Cultivate high-level community partnerships and solid external relationships with donors, investors, and other supporters.
- Work on special projects or other duties as assigned by the Vice President of PR and Development or the President/CEO.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Three to five years of related work experience.
- Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of Canva and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
- Must like team-oriented tasks and cyclical work.
- Meticulous organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive situations and access to information.
- Ability to travel and/or work in the community daily, as required by position and supervisor.
