What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Direct Support Professional - Overnight Hours (16 per week) position at Volunteers of America Northern New England?
Our disability services group home, Treasure House, in Belfast, ME is hiring for a dedicated, part-time direct support professional/certified residential medication aid for a program that operates on a 24/7 basis. This will be a 16-hour/week position that will help fill weekly overnight hours. Starting pay: $18 per hour ($18.50 per hour with CRMA)! This is a truly great way to supplement your income! VOA will pay for training in this field for candidates that are chosen that do not have necessary certification; however, preference will be given to candidates who are CRMA and DSP certified.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; college education in relevant discipline or experience working within the human services field preferred.
- DSP certification is preferred or must be obtained upon hire through our paid training.
- CRMA certification is preferred or must be obtained upon hire through our paid training.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities/autism spectrum disorder is preferred.
- Valid Maine driver’s license and good driving record are required.
