HOURS: Monday – Friday (8 hours per day)
JOB SUMMARY:
This individual will provide property management and operations oversight for our disabled and low-income client properties, helping our residents live independently and with dignity.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide property management and operations oversight, ensuring occupancy levels are maintained. Show and lease apartments to potential residents.
- Process rental applications, certifications and recertifications, rent calculations, and prepare leasing documents in accordance with regulatory agency specifications and Fair Housing laws.
- Answer phones and maintain daily traffic log.
- Verify income documents and maintain resident files in accordance with regulatory programs.
- Collect rent from property residents. Prepare/submit deposits.
- Maintain resident and property files and waiting lists in a timely and accurate manner.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in property management, tax credit management, or similar position preferred.
- One (1) year of experience serving evictions and participating in court proceedings strongly preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience with low income and disabled clients/residents preferred.
- Knowledge of HUD supportive housing programs preferred.
- Knowledge of HUD Continuum of Care preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification required or obtain upon hire.
- Current valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Automobile liability insurance that meets minimum requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Passion for people who are underserved.
- Intermediate computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with people of all levels and backgrounds.
- Good organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, high level of flexibility, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive situations.
