Volunteers of America Ohio and Indiana, a non-profit organization, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our mission-driven team. You will provide compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals on their recovery journey, engaging directly with clients and making a significant difference in a supportive, holistic environment.
Position Overview:
This position focuses on providing whole-person care, including medical, substance use disorder, and psychiatric care, with a strong emphasis on compassion. You will work within a residential program designed to help individuals achieve sustainable recovery.
- Hours: 10 hours per week, focused on weekends only, with significant flexibility.
- Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care at our Fresh Start Indy location on Saturdays and Sundays. Fresh Start is a recovery program for women, including pregnant clients, where mothers can live with up to two of their children in a supportive and healing environment.
- Deliver care for men at our Turning Point Facility, a dedicated men’s recovery program, for approximately 5 hours weekly.
- Scheduling Options:
- Work a total of 10 hours over the weekend, with at least 3 hours each on Saturday and Sunday. You can adjust your set schedule to best fit your needs, as long as it remains consistent. It can be changed with advanced notice.
Applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Nursing and a license as an APN, RN in the state of Ohio as well as a DEA certificate. The APN in this role will be expected to obtain Indiana APN licensing to support Indiana-based clients virtually. This dual licensing in Indiana does not have to be in place when they apply, but it must be in place promptly. There will be no expectation to travel to Indiana in person. CARN-AP certification (Certified Addiction Registered Nurse - Advanced Practice) is preferred, but if the candidate does not have it, they will be expected to obtain it within two years of hiring. Experience working as an APN with Substance Use Disorders is highly preferred. First Aid & CPR certification is required and must be maintained. VOAOHIN will provide certification if not already obtained
