JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, this position is responsible for establishing and confirming partnerships to build a pool of mentors for all CFS programs. This position is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and completing the application process for potential mentors. This position is also responsible for recruiting eligible youth for P3 program. Duties include establishing a rapport with each participant and mentor ensuring that the mentors and participants have the support needed and assist in helping in creating goals and accomplishing goals. The position is responsible for providing training as required to program goals. The position is also responsible for recruiting a small case load for the P3 program throughout the life of the program (15) youth and maintaining documents as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Model effective initiation and contracting of mentor/mentee relationship.
- Assist participants in developing and implementing Individual Service Plan.
- Develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with participants during the duration of participating in the program.
- Develop partnerships with agencies, churches, and other organizations to build a pool of mentors as well obtaining referrals for youth eligible for the program.
- Make referrals to outside agencies to ensure the participant’s needs are met upon their release.
- Networks with other agencies on client-related issues.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Maintain files for participants as required.
- Participate in program related trainings and other training programs as required.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

KEY CONTACTS
- Serves as primary representative of the Agency with respect to third party vendors providing training-related products and services.
- "Utilizes the Relias Learning Management System to maintain compliance with all required training courses."
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
This position requires knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to:
- High School Diploma, college graduate or at least 1-2 years, , and/or five years’ experience working with individuals at risk/ and/or incarcerated.
- Preferred Clergy, Minister, Pastor
- Requires the willingness to be responsive to the needs of the target population.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to function as part of the team.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have:
- Current driver’s license issued by state of residence.
- Current Vehicle Inspection decal
- Current vehicle insurance
- Current vehicle registration in state of residence
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
- Must be able to pass a criminal history investigation.
- Be able to obtain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid certifications.
WORKING CONDITIONS

- The employee is occasionally required to lift to 25 pounds when preparing/transferring training materials and equipment.
- Visual acuity is necessary to operate computers, audiovisual and other digital equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primary performed while standing during instructional time at the prison and may require some walking up and down stairs in correctional facility. Incumbent should be a vehicle operator, for there are times facilities are located outside of the local community.
