JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the VP of Program Operations, responsible for strategic and day-to-day operational leadership of the Supported Living Services (SLS) program. Ensures that all SLS program activities are aligned with the mission and business strategy of the agency, as well as conducted in a manner consistent with organization’s mission, vision and values.. The incumbent is directly responsible for the development and effective execution of detailed organizational plans and frameworks, as well as all operational processes, procedures and practices of the SLS program ensuring that all business practices are conducted in a manner consistent with VOASELA administrative, operational and human resource management policies and procedures. The incumbent is also responsible for providing collaborative leadership with regard to program funding aimed at securing the program’s financial viability and sustainability, as well as demonstrating commitment to established faith and service values in the conduct of all business affairs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops detailed strategic and operational plans, including time-sensitive goals, objectives and initiatives, for the SLS program. Ensure these plans and initiatives are aligned with, and fully supportive of, the overall strategic vision and direction of the agency, and are effectively implemented to achieve desired outcomes within established timeframes.
- Establishes organizational framework (charts), operational processes, job descriptions and program-level policies and procedures governing program operations and service delivery. Ensures that all work-related information is properly disseminated, and program personnel are fully trained.
- Prepares detailed budgets and financial plans for the program to include all related funding as well as the capital, supply, and the human resources expenditures necessary for effective financial management of the program. Ensures frequent review of program financial statements to address proper budgetary compliance as well as ensuring variances are appropriate to changing requirements and circumstance and/or receive corrective action.
- Provides day-to-day operational leadership to all assistant directors, managers and supervisors within assigned program ensuring compliance with both organization-wide and program-specific policies, procedures and practices, and that all program activities are consistent with the mission, strategic direction and values of the agency.
- Provides direction and supportive guidance to immediate subordinates as well as appropriate feedback, counseling/mentoring, recognition and reward of accomplishments. Emulates “servant leadership” as the norm in all business activities.
- Develops new sources of revenue to meet new or existing programmatic goals or needs.
- Manages the program safety efforts and ensures that safety requirements are being enforced.
- Networks with individuals and organizations that may be able to assist the program or VOASELA, Inc. in achieving its goals.
- Provides day-to-day leadership aimed at developing and maintaining a high-performance work culture committed to fully engaging staff members in the spiritual and service mission of the organization.
- Play an active role in the agency's strategic planning process.
- Responsible for attending and managing all aspects of an emergency evacuation with residents and staff.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
This position requires knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to:
- Masters Degree with two years of management level experience working with special populations and their families or a Bachelor’s degree and five years of professional experience working with special populations including two years at the management level is required
- Position requires knowledge of regulations and funding sources for individuals with disabilities
- Must have demonstrated skills in managing staff, budgets, program development, investigating and resolving complaints or problems
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills.

- Current Vehicle Inspection decal

- Current vehicle registration in state of residence
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
- Successful completion of Criminal Background check
