Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, focusing on both primary care and specialized services. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing care to individuals with diverse health needs.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain medical histories from patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including vital signs and laboratory results.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including those with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health conditions and preventive care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Perform procedures such as phlebotomy and sonography as needed.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, particularly for inpatient care settings.
Experience
- A valid Nurse Practitioner license is required.
- Experience in primary care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, particularly Cerner, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments and managing medical records is essential.
- Previous experience in inpatient settings or working with developmental disabilities is a plus.
