The Service Technician is responsible for performing automotive repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards. This individual utilizes his/her skills to diagnose and resolve the different sources of automotive problems swiftly and accurately. The Service Technician works with all Service personnel and management to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.
The Service Technician is supervised by the Shop Foreman.

Essential Functions and Duties
- Perform bumper to bumper diagnosis and repair.
- Utilize state of the art diagnostic tools and specialized repair tools to properly repair vehicles.
- Document work performed on a computer.
- Utilize all workshop diagnostic tools as needed to fix vehicles right the first time.
- Perform detailed digital and video inspections on all cars.
- Regularly attend paid training out of state to keep up with credentials
- Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.
- Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
- Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
- Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Belts worn on trousers to be of no buckle design to avoid scratching paint on customer’s vehicles.
- Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
- Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.
- Other duties as assigned.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Automotive Technical Knowledge – Three to five years experience
- ASE and manufacturer certification preferred

Requirements
2 years of technician experience.
- Experience working on a flat rate pay scale.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 18 years or older.
- Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence.
- A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment.
- Clear pre-employment drug screen.
