We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Multi-Craft Maintenance Fabrication Technician to join our manufacturing team. The Fabricator/Machinist will be responsible for operating various machining equipment, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring all fabricated parts meet specifications and standards.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain lathes, mills, and other fabrication equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams to determine specifications and procedures.
- Measure and inspect finished parts for accuracy, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Fabricate components using various materials, including metal, plastic, and composites, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.
- Set up and adjust machines for optimal operation, including tool changes and calibration.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Ensure timely completion of production schedules and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fabrication or machinist role, with hands-on experience operating CNC machines, lathes, and mills.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tool usage, and blueprint interpretation.
- Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments such as calipers.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and ability to implement safe work practices.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control and precision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with manual lathe and mill setup.
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and sheet metal work.
- Experience working with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).
