• We are looking for individuals who have the ambition to not only develop as a leader but also to work in a cross-functional and global environment. The Volvo Cars USA Aftersales Business is a division of the Customer Service area. Our mission is to enable a hassle-free consumer experience and drive loyalty by delivering a personal, sustainable and safe service experience through high quality and cost-efficient premium service operations. In support of this mission, we are responsible for maximizing all Customer Service revenue channels, drive best-in-class service retention, optimize operational dealer processes, and ensure a digitized hassle-free consumer experience.
• The Ridgeville Repair Methods Workshop Intern will be involved and assisting in the daily tasks of the workshop. This will include the servicing and repair of Volvo vehicles. Along with these tasks, this individual will need to develop a presentation for the enhancement of the processing of our CBV and TEST vehicles. This presentation should include the current process and recommendations for enhancing/streamlining the process. This internship will allow for the utilization of learned skills at college along with the learning of new “on-the-job” skills that will enhance the overall development of the individual. We’re anticipating this intern currently enrolled or graduating with a mechanical engineering, automotive technology or related engineering discipline.
  
  

What You'll Do

A day in the life:

• Assist parts with workshop preparation for the day
• Workshop daily morning meeting
• Assist with greeting workshop customers that arrive and check-in utilizing digital process
• Assist technicians with daily diagnostics/service work while utilizing digital process
• Processing of our CBV/TEST vehicles for delivery
• Management – Paperwork, invoicing, business process, reporting, workshop structure
• Parts management – parts ordering, returning, organization, inventory, special tools
• Workshop support – workshop organization, equipment check, 5S concept, Volvo simplified service
