What You Will Do

We are currently looking for a student to work with our Engineering team. The student should be prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment; gaining experience and knowledge about the workings in the Plant and several various aspects of engineering. As a valued member of the Engineering team within GTO, the student will have the opportunity to work directly with the engineers and our Operators. GTO’s goal is to contribute to the student’s development, as well as providing an opportunity for the student to work in a business environment within the manufacturing industry. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supporting / implementing new products in our plant
  • Developing solutions for production problems relating to materials, manufacturing processes and/or tooling.
  • Provides equipment and tooling needs for the department & coordinates all aspects of implementing these items with the assistance of maintenance.
  • The ability to perform high-level problem solving using classical tools.
  • A significant amount of time will be spent communication with the team, so excellent soft skills are critical.

  • Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor´s or Master´s degree at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the co-op/internship.
  • Interns can work up to 40hrs per week.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 and at least 30 credit hours.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Valid US Work authorization.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00.The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
